This week marks one year since I changed from full-time to part-time at my day job. It was the first time since I started 'proper grown-up' work 13 years earlier that I wasn't in full-time employment.
It's been qute an excting 12 months for me but, you might wonder, what have I been doing with the extra two days a week to myself? Let's see, to name just a few I have:
…made bunting out of fallen leaves
…set myself a challenge to not buy myself any new clothes for a whole year (not over till end Feb 2011)
…played around with my not-so-new-now digital SLR camera
…created a few free printables for my lovely readers to download, including this Anne of Green Gables quote (check out the Free Printables list on the right for more)
…covered a few jam jars with fabric
…moved out of the corner of the spare room and into my own studio at the end of the garden
…spent a LOT of time in charity shops
…plus lots more that would take a ridiculously long post to list (you'd need a whole pot of tea and at least once slice of cake to get through it).
Oh, and there's the small matter of starting my own business, the green gables!
I first opened my etsy shop and then started selling on notonthehighstreet.com and soonish I hope to open my own shop on my website too. I have even seen one of my bunting bags pictured in Red magazine!
I've got lots of ideas and hopes and dreams for the green gables and I'm hoping the next 12 months will be even more exciting!
And during all of that time I have you to thank for listening to me witter on and supporting me in my endeavours. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and humour me, you're all lovely, lovely people!
So, here's to the next year!

And here's to many more creative years. Well done!

Hurrah! It's been a pretty amazing and very productive twelve months, I'd say. Congratulations, lovely, and bring on the next one.
