So I'm a little bit late with this. I've been away all weekend (more on that in a mo) and so drew Friday and Saturday's daily drawings in advance and scheduled the posts. I planned to draw Sunday's picture when I got home last night but I was so tired I didn't have the energy! So, here is my fifth drawing.
It's my attempt at drawing the quite complicated ribbon tied bodice of my new sister-in-law's wedding dress. This is where we were all weekend, the wedding celebration of my husband's little brother and his beautiful wife.
Saturday was such a wonderful day, the sun shone when it wasn't raining, we ate, laughed, danced, played rounders (I know, not the usual wedding day activity but great fun) and celebrated the lovely couple. The bride wore two dresses, one for the ceremony, above, and another for the party, which had the ribbon bodice. Other guests probably wondered why I was photographing her from the back rather than from the front but the ribbon looked so good I knew I'd want to draw it. Or at least try to. And on the Sunday we had lunch with my side of the family to celebrate my brother's birthday, so all in all it was a fantastic family fun weekend!
I'll be back later with today's drawing…
