I see lots of examples of nature's beauty and cleverness when I'm walking my dog. Today I decided to snap a couple of pics on my iPhone of dew on a spider's web. There were lots of these little watery webs to be seen on the grass, I think they look like lace canopies for the elder field mice to sit under and shelter from the sun.
I zoomed in on the photo and was amazed at how clearly you can see each tiny droplet of dew! The web itself was only about 6cm across so the droplets are miniscule. Funny how a piece of clever technology small enough to fit in my pocket can capture something as simple and gorgeous as dew on a spider's web so well.
