I've been enjoying a few sunny days in my corner of the globe so I feel like soon I'll be wanting something tasty and cold like this yummy-looking frozen smoothie. And what a pretty palette it holds too! Such lovely, dusky shades, I think these colours could work well as eye make-up, although it may take someone a lot more skilled than me to apply the shades properly. These muted berry tones could also give a luxurious feel to a bathroom, do you think? Let me know how you'd like to use this colour palette.

My weekend

I should point out, in case you're wondering, this is not my house – I wish! We walk our dog, Georgie, on the great expanses of fields, hills and woods near us and every so often we'll happen across a chocolate box house that is too gorgeous not to snap a piccie of. 

This weekend we had family to visit, took long walks, ate lots of yummy food and I created a whole bunch of Christmas designs! Bet you didn't see that one coming. I listened to Christmas tunes to get myself in the festive zone and still have them stuck in my head, "sleigh bells ring, are you listening…"

I fancied bringing a bit of brightness to the blog with this week's palette pick. I've gone for some of the slightly more muted shades rather than the full-on bold colours but still, it's pretty bright! I could see this palette working really well as pops of colour against a white backdrop, how would you use these shades?

My weekend

Did you have a lovely weekend and enjoy some sunshine? We travelled north to see family and were so lucky to have lots of sunshine on Saturday. My eldest brother is getting married in a few weeks' time so while the menfolk were quad biking in a wood the womenfolk of my family had the much better idea (in my opinion) of a picnic with my niece and nephews. We filled our tummies with homemade dishes, went looking for (and found) a herd of deer, spotted one little rabbit and entire families of ducklings. And all while feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin, wonderful. I hope you were able to enjoy some sunshine too.
