New year, new blog series! Having exhausted my Too beautiful… theme I've decided to create a new, similar but different, series of posts called Lovely Monday. And yes, you guessed it, every Monday I will post a picture of something lovely. A lot of people don't find Mondays very lovely so I think a pretty picture can do wonders to perk up people! So, on with today…

I happened across this image on pinterest and tracked it back to this blog. While I can't actually translate the words I think the products are available from one of my favourite shops, Rice. I haven't been able to spot this specific image on their site but it looks decidedly Rice-esque. At any rate, I'd love to sit on such gorgeous patchwork cushions and dine at such a colourful table. Lovely!

Isn't this an incredible shot of rain? If rain looked this beautiful to the naked eye I don't think I'd mind having to go out in it nearly as much. I'll try to remember that next time I'm squelching through puddles…

How fabulous is this? I had no idea that once upon a time you could buy a book that would help you write a letter for every occasion. (That's a proper letter written with pen on paper, not tapping out an email at high speed hoping that spell check will correct you.) And not just formal letters that might be a bit tricky, oh no. What a beautiful piece of design. This may be a vintage radio from the 50s but I think designers today could learn a lesson from the gorgeous curves and symmetry, and the colour! Of course, a teal radio is going to win me over but whatever the colour this would still be a jolly lovely addition to my home.

If I were to ever have a mansion, with several floors and a circular staircase, I would absolutely want this paper chandelier to be the central light fitting. It's a beautiful creation as it is but pehaps even more lovely lit up?
